Sorry, John, but your padlock is a fake and not even a good one. It wasn't made for Wells Fargo. It was probably made in India within the last 10 years. It's worth around $15-25 dollars. Here's bunch of examples:

possible william H Chandler pastelSubmitted by: erica |
|
PLEASE HELPthis is a true pastel painting, i looked everywhere for a signature but did not find one. some of chandler's paintings were known to be in pairs and only one to be signed. so as pretty as this painting is im surprised there is no signature. the frame itself looks to be worn and old. i gently took the painting out and looked at it through a magnifying glass. i had to be careful not to touch the art since it was easily transferable as if it were caked on chalk. so i had to be careful not to smear anything. i didnt keep the painting out of the glass very long and gently placed it back in to the glass. i am not very good at studying art i just see what i know to be beautiful artwork and for now collect it for my walls. i would much rather have real art work on my walls than to have cheap prints. depending on the style of the art of coures. i am more favorable to nautical and seascapes. this piece is approx. 24" X 12" in the frame. thank u for your time.
